exceptional watches

These exceptional timepieces not only tell the time, they also embody the intersection of a watchmaker's rigor and a jeweler's creativity. Their dials are handed over like a blank page to the Boucheron Design Studio, where they are inscribed with the Maison's favorite themes: nature, couture, architecture and animals.

Nature

Nature has always been a great source of inspiration for the jewelers of Place Vendôme, and Frédéric Boucheron was no exception. Yet he soon set himself apart with his unique vision of lifelike nature. Each dial becomes a tableau vivant, where ivy, wheat, ferns and acanthus create scenes of untamed vegetation. At the crossroads of watchmaking and jewelry, these exceptional creations uphold the vision of nature inherited from the founder of the Maison.

In the spirit of Renaissance Florentine cabinets, each Art creation from the Epure Collection showcases extraordinary craftsmanship and marquetry in a miniature space. The pink enamel of the fuchsia flowers is brilliant and enhanced by emerald-green stems. It is expected that the Hopi hummingbird, so dear to the Maison's bestiary, comes to collect the precious nectar of this much-loved flower. The Epure Tourbillon Fuchsia watch is a window onto a vibrant Paradise of colors.

EPURE LIERRE DE PARIS

EPURE LIERRE DE PARIS

At a time when all eyes were on the perfection of French gardens, Frédéric Boucheron marveled at the wild ivy growing naturally under the arches of the Palais-Royal. With Lierre de Paris, Boucheron pays tribute to nature.

Couture

Couture is at the heart of Boucheron's history. Louis Boucheron, father of the Maison's founder, worked as a cloth merchant in Paris as early as 1817. Born in 1830, Frédéric Boucheron grew up in an environment populated by precious fabrics, which influenced his approach to design. Driven by a quest for delicacy and suppleness, he adorned the Maison's watch creations in embroidery, grosgrain, pompoms and lace.

REFLET POMPON

REFLET POMPON

Because it comes from both worlds, the Pompon watch embodies a bridge between exceptional watchmaking and High Jewelry. A creation that reinterprets and transforms the Maison's fundamental motifs. Those of the watch, rectangular case and double gadroon, represented here by round and baguette diamonds; but also that of the pompom, a recurring figure in Boucheron collections since the 19th century.

JOY DE LUMIÈRE

JOY DE LUMIÈRE

Dressed in a cascade of spinels and Art Deco-inspired diamond-paved motifs, the Joy de Lumière creation is illuminated by the glow of a crystalline night. It recalls the majestic, richly embroidered finery of empresses, which Boucheron has reinterpreted in a contemporary way.

Animals

Swan, snake, butterfly...The extraordinary story of the Boucheron bestiary began in the workshops in 1866. It was there that a collection of High Jewelry pieces and works of art was assembled. Each piece seems to have been captured in motion, in the beating of a wing or a heart. These exceptional timepieces tell their stories, real or imagined, to anyone who will listen.

Architecture

Frédéric Boucheron was a man of vision. In 1893, when Place Vendôme was still a residential district, he was the first of the great contemporary jewelers to open a boutique there, at number 26. This legendary address gave birth to a graphic code, the emerald cut, which will never leave Boucheron creations.

26 VENDÔME

26 VENDÔME

By setting up its boutique, workshops and design studio at number 26, the Maison transformed Louis XIV's urban design into the epicenter of Parisian creation, rewarding the intuition of one man, Frédéric Boucheron, who built a style, reputation and savoir-faire in one generation. The 26 Vendôme creation is graphically structured around an octagonal case, a tribute to the famous Parisian square, and a succession of baguette-cut diamonds underlined by an intense black border, the symbol of a liberated and constantly reinvented aesthetic.
