When not being worn, each piece of jewelry should be stored separately to prevent contact between stones and metals. We recommend that you store each Boucheron creation in its case to protect it. When wearing your Boucheron jewelry, we recommend avoiding shocks that could alter the quality of your piece. Most jewelry can be cleaned to intensify its shine: simply scrub gently with a soft brush dipped in soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly with a soft, lint-free cloth. A diamond can scratch metal, precious stones or other diamonds: we recommend that you avoid this type of contact. A diamond can be cleaned with water mixed with soap or another degreasing agent, then rinsed with warm water and gently wiped with a lint-free cloth: this will help to revive its original brilliance. If this is not enough and some impurities remain, the diamond can be immersed in boiling water mixed with a few drops of dish soap. We recommend that you have your diamond checked by your jeweler at least once every two years, and systematically if you have any doubts about its condition.
Due to inclusions, emeralds are fragile, shock-sensitive stones that require special care. Unlike other gemstones, they may require particular upkeep. Avoid exposing emeralds to sunlight, heat or thermal shock, and avoid contact with chemicals such as cleaning products.
Cultured pearls are living organisms that regenerate naturally in contact with the air. While they are relatively resistant to impact, they require special attention, as their porous surface is more sensitive. First and foremost, avoid contact with chemicals, detergents, cosmetics and perfumes. We recommend that you clean your pearl jewelry frequently, wiping it gently with a soft cloth, and store it in its individual case.

Your setting, whether gold or platinum, can be worn down by all the little shocks it receives when you wear it. We therefore recommend that you take care to remove your jewelry during activities that could cause wear and tear. Stones are the most likely to scratch settings: it's best to wear your watches in such a way as to avoid contact between the stones and the setting, and to store them in their individual cases. Gold and platinum can be cleaned with soapy water. When tarnished or scratched, gold and platinum can be polished to restore their original luster. White gold must also be rhodium-plated, i.e. coated with a layer of rhodium that gives it its hue and brilliance.

To preserve the brilliance of your Boucheron watch, we recommend cleaning it with a soft, dry cloth. A watch is a precision measuring instrument: we recommend that you use your watch in normal conditions, avoid major temperature variations (e.g. sauna, steam bath), minimize shocks, accelerations and physical blows, and avoid bringing it near anything magnetic. We recommend a full service every three to five years to guarantee the reliability of your watch and protect it from the ravages of time.
